PRP, which contains a high concentration of PDGFs, has been investigated for its efficacy in
chronic wound management. A systematic review and meta-analysis concluded that PRP therapy
enhances healing rates in chronic wounds, including diabetic foot ulcers and pressure ulcers, when
compared to standard care.
